Choir Notes

October 30 Update:

The Madrigal Festival at ISU on November 7 has scheduled us to begin at 8:30, so we will be leaving BHS at 6:30.  Please make sure that your student arrives at school prior to that time so that the bus can leave promptly at 6:30. 

T-Shirts are being ordered for Madrigals and Sunrise.  The cost will be between $15-$20.  Payments should be made by Friday, November 6. 

Madrigals will perform on November 22 at the Promenade.  From 2-3 they will be performing outside, from 3:30-4:30 they will perform at Barnes and Nobles and they may perform at Bass Pro Shop later that afternoon.  Please dress warm and come and see us.

Madrigals will take a field trip to the Ad Center on December 12 for an event for Preschoolers.  This will occur during the school day.   

Butterbraids will be sent out on November 5-they are due back November 14.  Delivery is December 9.

 

Women’s Choir Festival this Saturday 

Students should arrive at 8:00 am to school dressed in jeans and a Raider shirt (or black and red). They should have their choir folder.  A Pizza lunch is provided for the students.  Family members may join us for the concert at 1:00 pm at the Naperville North High School Auditorium.  The cost of admission is free, but donations are accepted to help offset the cost of ISU’s travel.

Sunrise Singer uniforms have gone home.  Dresses must be hemmed to with black thread for the concert.  Correct hemming helps to protect the dress from damage. Please do not cut excess material if possible so that the dresses can be let out in the future.  If the dress is not hemmed by the concert, students will be unable to perform. 

Fund Raising Questions:

Fundraising Forms are due back October 15.  The items should be delivered on November 5.  For more forms or information, please see Mr. Fisher.

For online fundraising go to www.gafundraising.com  enter code   1173954  then it will ask the students name they are supporting  .Then they go shopping, we have another 1000 product they can sell to anyone in the country without leaving their house.  This fundraising remains open for the full year.

Madrigal Dinner order forms went out to performers this week.  Only performer’s families may order at this time.  Seating will be decided upon by when order forms are received.   Tickets to the public will be available on October 23.

Madrigal Singers must bring their completed costumes to school on Monday, October 27 for pictures.  If you are interested in ordering a 20x30 picture of your child, please send a $15 check to BHS indicating that you would like to purchase a photo by this date.
