PERFORMANCE ATTIRE

 

Concert Band:  White Dress Shirt, Black Dress Pants, Black Dress Shoes, Black Socks

 

PERFORMANCE RULES

 

1.             If a student shows up to a performance and is sent home due to inappropriate or incorrect dress and does not return with the correct, appropriate attire, they will not be permitted to perform and will lose all performance points for that specific performance.

 

2.          Anyone without his or her instrument and accessories will not be allowed to perform.

 

3.         As stated before, attendance at all performances and contests is mandatory.  An unexcused absence will result in the lowering of the student’s grade accordingly.

 

4.         Never assume that a rehearsal or performance is cancelled due to a bad weather.  Cancellations will be announced to the entire group, posted on the school front door and www.bhsmusicboosters.com.  When in doubt, report to the band room. 

 

5.         Treat your uniform with respect and wear it with pride.  We should always look as good as we sound.  Consult your uniform contract for specific rules and guidelines.

 

6.         "ON TIME IS LATE!"  Always come early enough to a rehearsal or performance to get mentally and physically prepared, and properly warmed up (A GOOD RULE OF THUMB IS 15 MINUTES).
