MISSED THE BUS HOME ? – WHAT YOU CAN DO


If you should miss your bus for any reason please report to the front office. They will assist you. Students also have the options of calling for a ride home either by personal cellphone or at the office or waiting for one of the after school buses at 3:45PM or as scheduled by school. If several students from the same route have missed their bus then Transportation will be called to provide assistance in getting the students home as soon as possible.



BE AWARE – BE SAFE



Valley View buses are administered by school district staff. All buses are on schedules which require timely dismissals from schools. All schools have a 7 minute window for students to get to their buses and be seated. Each bus provides AM and PM transportation to 3 schools, first- high schools, second - middle and parochial schools, third - elementary schools.


Student safety at dismissal time with buses and cars leaving are of paramount importance. It is the safety practice that buses are to wait until 7 minutes after dismissal bell rings for students, they are then to close their doors and leave in a certain order. Drivers have been directed not to open the doors for students that are late to the bus. This practice was put in place so that students would not come running to buses as they were leaving the school putting themselves in danger.
