By now many people are familiar with the basics of "The New View" initiative in VVSD. But you may not have had the opportunity to ask questions or comment on the new concepts designed to better prepare all of our children for the rigors of post secondary life. Or perhaps you may have questions in general about something unrelated to "The New View." That's why Superintendent Mitchem has scheduled September forums at six VVSD schools…to give our staff and community a chance to talk one-on-one with him and with school and district administrators about a variety of issues, including the implementation of "The New View: A design for Change." Shortly after the 6 p.m. start of each forum, Dr. Mitchem will spend a few minutes summarizing the district's progress, leaving nearly two hours for group and individual questions on any topic. Feel free to stop in anytime during these special "meet and greet" sessions. Refreshments will be served.
