Welcome New Valley View School District Staff!

On behalf of Dr. Schoffstall, the Board of Education and the rest of the Senior Leadership Team, I want to welcome you to the Valley View Family. You bring with you ideas and experiences that will help make our school district stronger. A list of our "Beliefs and Values" has been included in this packet. These values and beliefs will maximize learning for all students.

We believe you have the power to make a difference in the lives of our students. You can engage them in ways that will allow them to love learning and strive to be kind helpful students. Your guidance and inspiration can make a difference! We look forward to our shared educational experiences.

The New Staff Orientation Day will be on Friday, August 18, 2006. The orientation will be located at Romeoville High School. Please reference the attached agenda for more detailed information. Attire for the day is business casual.

Also included in this mailing are the Grades K-5 and 6-12 Curriculum Workshop brochures. New Staff will participate in those workshops pertaining to their specific grade level and/or area of instruction. Staff will be compensated for the hours they participate in both Curriculum Workshops and the New Staff Orientation Day.
