From the Principal…….

Dear Humphrey Parents and Guardians,

It seems as if the school year is going by very quickly. I would like to take this opportunity to provide you with some important information regarding End-of-Year activities.

Due to the two snow days in which the Valley View Schools were closed, some changes have been made to the End-of-the-Year Calendar. This includes the Eighth Grade Great America Trip, Graduation, Graduation Social, and the Last Day of School.

Please note the following dates/times of important events:

  • Athletic Boosters Social April 25 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
  • Honors Day May 2 8:30 am to 10:45 am
  • NJHS Induction May 6 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
  • Incoming 6th graders ONLY  Athletic Boosters Social May 15 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
  • Memorial Day (No School) May 26
  • 8th Grade Great America Trip June 6
  • Graduation at BHS June 9 6:30 pm
  • Graduation Social at HHH June 9 7:45 pm
  • Last Day of School June 10 Students dismissed at 10:10am
  • Registration at HHH August 13 8:00 am – 7:00 pm

Also, having started Spring, please be mindful of the changes that the weather has on student safety. Warmer weather tends to result in more disciplinary concerns. Whether your child takes the school bus or walks, please consider having a discussion with him/her regarding after school behavior. We want to do all that we can to ensure a pleasant trip home for all our students.

We look forward to a very successful remainder of the school year and we are confident that this will occur with your help. As the weather warms, we greatly appreciate your assistance in order to ensure that the focus this spring continues to be on learning.

Sincerely,

Angelo D. Armistead
