Library Policies

Linda Conley, LMC Director

Check out procedures.

  1. Students come to the library every week with their Language Arts class.
  2. Students may check out 3 items at a time.
  3. A student must present his or her I.D. in order to check out materials. Repeated failure to have an I.D. will result in a referral per handbook policy.
  4. Students with overdue items have no privileges.
  5. Students with items a month overdue will be given a teacher detention unless the book is returned or student pays for the book.

Lost or damaged books

A student must pay for any lost or damaged book before library privileges are reinstated. I ask that students pay for lost books in cash as frequently the book is found later, and I can then immediately reimburse the student. Checks require my creating a check request.

Use of computers

The use of the district’s computer resources is a privilege and not a right. As stated in the handbook, computer use is for educational purposes only. Misuse can result in the cancellation of the privileges. See page 40 of the handbook for the district’s complete policy.
