Welcome to Second Grade


Our goal as second grade teachers is to help our children meet and exceed high levels of academic achievement.

As a school-wide rule we as teachers teach our children how to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. What does it mean to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe?

*To be RESPECTFUL: Children are to raise their hand to speak and treat others the way they want to be treated.
*To be RESPONSIBLE: Children are to come to school with all needed materials and follow all safety rules.
*To be SAFE: Children are to keep hands, feet, and unkind words to themselves and avoid conflicts with others.

Each 2nd grade teacher has their own classroom expectations but we all follow the color chart system.
