2008 Tryout Information

Although we play fast pitch softball, Coach Soliday and Coach Hayes encourage any girl interested in playing softball to try out, even if you have only played slow pitch softball before.

When: Starting Monday, July 28th from 9 AM – 11:30AM (Please check the schedule for each day’s tryout times as the times change from day to day!)

Where: Field behind Jane Addams

Please bring the following on the first day of tryouts:

Current physical – Physicals are only good for one year. It must be completed, dated, and not expire before the close of the season (mid- September). No athlete will be allowed to participate in tryouts without a current physical – NO EXCEPTIONS.

Participation form – Please complete both sides and bring it to the first day of tryouts.

Sports Fee of $20.00 –payable to VVSD (New) – This fee is paid to the school and will be returned if your child does not make the team. This fee

DOES NOT INCLUDE the cost of the hats and socks that may need to be purchased at the beginning of the season. Hats and socks are a separate fee that will be discussed after tryouts.

Equipment – You must have a glove to tryout. It is also suggested that you bring other equipment such as cleats (if you already own them), a bat, batting helmet, and something to drink.

Tryouts will start on the 28th of July and last one week. If you are unable to attend any of those days, please contact either Coach Soliday or Coach Hayes. On the back is a copy of the schedule. Attendance is required for both practices and games. Players must be present for two days prior to a game in order to participate in the game. We look forward to seeing you at tryouts.
