May 14-end

Review/End of Quarter Tests: We have covered all of the lessons outlined in the curriculum map for third grade.  We will now spend some time reviewing each of the concepts and taking end of quarter tests.

Here is the schedule for testing so that you can study with your child ahead of time and review some things we may not have covered in awhile. We will be reviewing in class and a study guide will come home the day before along with the pages you can use in the math book to practice. Math books may go home any day or weekend, but must go home the day before each test. (except for Problem Solving and Operations)

May 20 – Geometry (chapters 19, 20, 21)

May 23 – Measurement (chapters 6, 7, 17, 18, 22)

May 28 – Data analysis (chapters 15, 16, 24)

May 30 – Number sense (chapters 2, 3, 4.1, 5.1, 25)

June 3 – Problem Solving (story problems for +,-,x and ÷, patterns, etc)

June 4 – Operations (+, -, x, ÷, AND long division, 2 by 1 and 3 by 1 mult.)

By the end of third grade all students should have mastered their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts through 12.
