Welcome back to the
2008-2009 school year!
How can I help my
child be successful this year?
1.
Check your
child’s book bag daily.
2.
Check the
teacher’s website for valuable weekly curriculum information.
3.
Review Student
Success Guide with your child.
(found in the assignment book and on the Jamie
McGee website)
4.
Establish a daily
“study time” for your child.
5.
Re-read weekly
story at least twice during the week.
6.
Practice writing
-notes, grocery lists, letters to relatives, journals, daily schedules.
7.
Limit T.V.
viewing and video games.
8.
Practice
multiplication math facts.
9.
Establish a
consistent early bedtime.
10.
Sign your child’s
assignment book after you have
checked the completed work.
