The students will need to know their multiplication facts, 0-12 by mid-year. They will need to know their division facts, 0-12 by the end of the year. The students that learn all of their facts, will be invited to a pizza party at the end of the year.

Book reports start in October. A letter, reading log, and rubric will go home with your child on October 1st. Remember, the books need to be approved by me, prior to reading them. There will be one book report due per month. The book reports and reading logs are due on the last day of each month. If the last day falls on a weekend or holiday, it will be due on the following school day. Book reports may be typed or hand written. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call!

April 14 - 18

Reading - Our story for the week is, "A Cricket in Times Square". The strategies are analyzing

story structure and theme. The assessment will be on Friday.

Spelling - The test over homophones will be on Friday.

Grammar - The test over comparing with adverbs will be on Friday.

Math - This week, we will cover chapter 25, lessons 1-4. The lessons will teach us about metric

length, changing linear units, capacity, and mass. The assessment will be on Tuesday,

April 22nd.

Health - This week, we will be learning about germs.

The book report is due on Wednesday, April 30th.
