Computer-Based Learning

The Phoenix staff employ several learning programs to enhance, support and remediate students learning.  These web based programs are standards based and support the curriculum in Valley View School District.

The Phoenix offers several types of technology based programming based on student needs, course expectations, and individual progress.

Individual Learning Class

Students are placed in these classes if they are repeating a class, taking a class that is not offered during that particular period or if a pre-assessment has determined that the student needs to build basic skills in order to be successful.

Classwork Expectations

Class time is allocated to complete all class work, reading assignments and web-based programs. Assignments are expected to be high quality and are to be turned in no later than the end of the week to receive credit.  Students are expected to complete a minimum of 70% of computer based assignments weekly.  Students may access most programs from their home computer or through the use of library computers at the Fountaindale Library.  Please see your instructor for more details.
