Book Awards

At Pioneer, students have the opportunity to participate in The Monarch Award: Illinois' K-3 Children's Choice Award and the Rebecca Caudill Young Reader's Book Award. For each award, students choose from a list of 20 nominees, with the voting done in February.

This year, Pioneer students voted for the Rebecca Caudill Award through an online survey. The winner for Pioneer for 2008 is MVP: Magellan Voyage Project. Pioneer students selected Bad Kitty as their favorite in the Monarch voting.
