| READING VOCABULARY Atlas: a book of maps Encyclopedia: a book or set of books giving a great deal of information about various subjects Thesaurus: a book or list of synonyms and antonyms Dictionary: a book that has words of language, arranged by alphabetical order, with information about them Computer: an electronic device that can be used to access information such as definitions; search on educational topics Glossary: a list of difficult words and their meanings. The list of words is in alphabetical order. Some books have a glossary at the end. Index: an alphabetical list at the end of a book that tells what page a particular subject or name can be found Table of Contents: is found at the beginning of a book and lists the chapters and the page number on which they begin
