More Safety Reminders:

DISMISSAL When your child is going home a different way than he/she usually does, PLEASE SEND A NOTE TO YOUR CHILD’S TEACHER! This includes students who normally walk south and must meet someone in the north lot. Students who ride buses MUST have a parent note or they must take their regular bus home. Students who are not bus riders may not take a bus for any reason.

WALKERS Students who walk to school need to practice respect while on their way to and from school. We do not want to get calls from neighbors complaining about students walking on their property. Remind your child of simple manners in respecting other people’s property.

WALKERS are not allowed to go to any of the neighboring stores (such as 7-11 or Dairy Queen) before or after school without written permission from their parents.

WALKERS need to cross only at the crosswalks. Please do not encourage your child to cross in the middle of any street to get to your car.

DRIVERS! PARK your car in a parking space if you will be leaving your car to meet your child. DO NOT PARK IN THE DRIVE THROUGH LANES FOR ANY REASON!

BUS RIDERS must remain seated and quiet while riding the bus. Please emphasize the safety concerns that exist if someone stands up, switches seats, kneels, or walks around while the bus is moving.

PLAYGROUND — Just a reminder that our playground is closed to the public during the school day. Our students use the playground for recess during the day. The playground is closed from approximately 3:05—3:30. Students may not stop and play on the playground after school unless accompanied by a parent/adult guardian. The playground is then open after 3:30 for community use by children age 12 and under. Thank you!
