The Instructor:

I received my Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Secondary Education/English from the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana with a minor in Rhetoric in May 1990.  I received my Masters of Arts in Education from Governors State University in December of 2000.  In addition, I have 40 hours past my Masters Degree and continue to take courses to keep up with new philosophies in education and new developments in technology.

I have been teaching at Romeoville High School since August of 1996 and truly love teaching here.  Previous teaching experience includes teaching English at Amos Alonzo Stagg and Hillcrest High Schools, and doing Paraprofessional work at Victor J. Andrew High School where I also worked as computer lab assistant and as the assistant director of the musical for 4 years.  I have a love of music and drama and fulfill that love by participating as a member of the Palos Village Players Theatre Group and the Homewood Flossmoor Community Band.  I am an advocate of continual learning and am always trying to keep up with new technology so that my students can be prepared when they go out into the world of technology.
