About Me

Hello, my name is Amy Kent. This is my ninth year as a licensed speech and language pathologist, specializing in pediatrics. I am also a certified Early Intervention Specialist. I attended Northern Illinois University and graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders. I continued on to receive my Master of Arts degree in Speech and Language Pathology. I am a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and have earned my Certificate of Clinical Competency.

I have worked for the Valley View school district since the spring of 2005. Prior to that, I worked for the Aurora/Naperville school district #204 in an inclusive preschool setting. I also worked for the Association for Individual Development in Aurora and currently continue to service children birth to six years of in age in the community through private practice.

My six year old son keeps me on my toes! We enjoy being outdoors, playing soccer and tee-ball, spending time with family and friends, and going to the movies. I am very excited to continue working with the children and families of the Valley View Early Childhood Center.
