About Me

Hi! My name is Don Rita Smith. My husband and I have lived in the Romeoville/Bolingbrook area for 30 years and raised our family here. My two daughters attended Valley View Schools and I have worked for the school district in a variety of positions. Currently, I am working as a Speech and Language Pathologist at Valley View Early Childhood Center. Previously, I provided speech and language services to children at Prairie Children Preschool in Naperville. My professional interests are numerous and include Autism, neurological disorders, and non-verbal communication. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my grandsons.

It is a pleasure to be a member of the Valley View Early Childhood team! I look forward to a rewarding and successful school year!
