About MeHi! I’m Jennifer Surd and I am the teacher in the Mouse Room. I am excited to spend my sixth year of teaching at Valley View Early Childhood Center. I am glad to have had the opportunity to teach preschool and kindergarten classes for children with and without special needs over the last few years. My Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education is from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and I attended St. Xavier University for my Master’s degree in Teaching and Leadership. I am currently working on my English Language Learner certificate. I live in Orland Park and enjoy going to concerts and spending time with my friends and family. I look forward to spending my days here at VVEC singing, reading, doing art, science, and playing!
