Bacteria Experiment
Problem - What part of the building has the most bacteria
festering on it?
Hypothesis - Choose which location you think will have the
most. I think the most bacteria will come from the microphone in the office due
to the amount of mouths that come in contact with it.
Materials - Petri dishes (12), Agar nutrient (bacteria food),
container to boil water, water, cotton swabs (12)
Procedure - 1. Make the agar solution by boiling mixing it
with 1 cup of water and bringing it to a boil. Let that sit for 5 minutes
and pour into the Petri dishes.
2. Choose different places to culture the bacteria.
3. Swab the areas and rub the swabs in the agar
solution.
4. Wait 3 days and see what grows.
Results - I have provided pictures of the dishes after the
swabs were taken.
