As an extension of our discussions on fall, seasons, and plant life cycles (apples and pumpkins), we visited Siegel's Cottonwood Farm.   There, we met with Farmer Paul who explained the history of Cottonwood Farm.  It was started by his grandfather 100 years ago.  The farm is named after the large cottonwood tree found on the farm.  We took a hayride through, what was left, of the pumpkin fields.  We were able to meet and feed some of the animals on the farm, and best, we each received our very own pumpkin!   OH WAIT........................Best was our bus getting stuck in the mud and Farmer Paul saving the day with his tractor and pulling our bus out of the mud so we could get back home safely!

ENJOY!
