As an opening to our science unit on ocean life, and as an extension of our field trip to the Shedd Aquarium, the first graders were asked to illustrate and write about one animal they "liked" and one fact they "learned" about it on our field trip. They did an excellent job giving information and illustrating. We all learned alot of animal facts from each other. Enjoy!
Each first grader's illustrations are displayed below. However, this time, we decided to share our writing ability to you in a different medium. Each first grader has recorded reading his/her sentences to match his/her illustrations. Scroll down to each set of "Shedd Aquarium Writing" illustrations to hear what that child wrote.
As each voice track is attached to the specific child, only scroll until each name and/or following picture is on the screen to hear the reading. If you scroll too far, the next child's track will begin. If that happens, just hit "escape" and the voice track will stop. "Refresh" the page and the voice tracks will again be available.
HAVE FUN LISTENING TO OUR FLUENT WRITERS READ WHAT THEY WROTE!
