Young Author's Night was a huge success thanks to the efforts and dedication of our first grade team, Mrs. Anding, Mrs. Boyer, and Mr. Lawrence.
This year, Young Authors Night included the added presence of Esther Hershenhorn, local noted writer of children's books such as Chicken Soup by Heart, Fancy That, and The Confe$$ion$ and $ecret$ of Howard J. Fingerhut.
Earlier in the year, Mrs. Hershenhorn kicked-off the first grade "Young Authors" project by conducting a writer's workshop with each of our first grade classes (Writer's Workshop web page). Mrs. Hershenhorn then revisited the first graders and their families on Young Authors Night to share some "secrets" about herself and her writings as well as attend the first graders' publications debut!
