Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. T. Jones
I am an energetic, fun and caring teacher of 7th grade Language-Arts at Brooks Middle School. I have been a teacher for 23 years. After graduating from the University of Illinois, I worked for 16 years in District 129. It was during that time that I obtained my graduate degrees. In 2000 I got a Masters of teaching from Aurora University and in 2008 I received a Masters in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. During the 2013-2014 school year, I became a valuable employee of District 365U. Obviously, teaching is my life. . As such, I see myself as a role model for all the students I come into contact with. Whereas it has its daily challenges, is full of social and emotional upheaval and requires a wholehearted dedication, I can’t see myself doing anything else. That’s not to say I don’t do other things. I’m an avid reader, sports enthusiast and eternal optimist. I also spend as much time as I can, or that they will allow, with my own children. I am the mother of a University of Missouri senior and a University of Illinois freshman. They, like the students I serve, know that education is important to me and that their success is my top priority.
