Health & Safety Commitments
For the start of the 2021-22 school year, our priority is the full on-site return of all learners. We will approach with layered strategies to reduce risks of the spread of COVID-19. This is based on Centers for Disease Control guidance adopted by the Illinois Department of Public Health and Illinois State Board of Education.

Independence 3rd Grader Trinity White is a Published Author/Illustrator
She placed her completed creations into a drawer at home for her mom. Shaquita White went into the drawer one day and found half a dozen of Trinity’s completed books and realized her daughter has a talent for writing and illustrating.

VVSD Board to Meet in Special Session Monday, October 25
The Board Meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at which time, the Board will vote to move to Closed Executive Session. The purpose of this meeting is to consider Due Process cases and any action taken on the cases will take place in Open Session
