All you need is a computer, tablet, or phone that has a camera, speaker, and microphone.

    Starting a Hangout
    There are many different ways to start a group conversation using chats and video calls. With Google Apps, you can start Hangouts with up to 15 other people at once. Before you can start having video calls, make sure that your computer is ready - click here to review Hangouts system requirements.
    Chrome Toolbar  
    From your Chrome toolbar
    Go to the Hangouts Chrome extension, and click the button to "+Add to Chrome." After adding the extension, click the green Hangouts icon then enter a name in the search box to start a hangout 
    From your desktop
    Go to the Hangouts desktop app, and click the button to "+Add to Chrome." After adding the extension, click the Hangouts icon in your computer's taskbar to launch Hangouts.

    From your mobile device
    Go to hangout.google.com on your mobile device, then download the app for Android or iOS. For more details, see the Hangouts Help Center.
