• Course Description:  Physics is an investigative study and the synthesis of the concepts of the mechanics of motion, electricity, light, and sound.  Our content of study is designed to follow the Next Generation Science Standards.  Laboratory experiments and mathematical models will be used to explain naturally-occurring phenomena.

  • Physics is a course very different from courses you have taken up to this point.  It is logic based with very little memorization required.

This course is very comprehensive first semester so it is imperative that you do not allow yourself to fall behind on the course work.  All Physics teachers are available to help you before and after school.  If your teacher is not available, feel free to seek out any other teacher.  It is imperative that you spend time outside of this class practicing physics if you intend on being successful.

We will be using google classroom & Hapara through the year. The links to access are below.

  • Tutorial Links:

Physics Classroom This site has tutorials and interactives that students should access through out their studies.

Easy Physics This site has notes over most of the units we cover.  It uses diagrams to help explain concepts covered in class.

Physics Tutorial A great resource to reteach or review classroom content.

Hewitt Drew it Conceptual mostly with great diagrams

Crash Course Physics Videos These vidos cover the content ina very concise manner.

Paul Hewitt Videos Mostly conceptual explanations but some math.

Quizlet Students will be given a code to join to access my quiz sets.
