• AP Biology

AP Biology is a college-level Biology course equivalent to approximately two semesters of college biology. In this course, we will cover the four  ‘Big Ideas’ of Biology:

    1. The process of evolution drives the diversity and unity of life
    2. Biological systems utilize free energy and molecular building blocks to grow, to reproduce, and to maintain dynamic homeostasis.
    3. Living systems store, retrieve, transmit, and respond to information essential to life processes.
    4. Biological systems interact, and these systems and their interactions possess complex properties.

In class, you will be expected to work in groups to plan, carry out, and analyze experiments, and to support each other in your learning. Outside of class, you will be expected to do the assigned readings and practices in order to keep up with the fast pace of the material. Check out the course syllabus below for more information! Please don't hesitate to stop in or email if you have questions or concerns!
