Facility Operations

The Facility Operations Department is responsible for maintaining and improving the physical facilities of all Valley View School District schools. Our department is made up of skilled professionals who are dedicated to ensuring that all school buildings and grounds are in excellent condition and providing a safe learning environment for Every Learner, Every Day.

Valley View School District consists of 25 schools/ facilities totaling approximately 2.5 million square feet. The grounds include 463 acres of grass to mow and 63 acres of asphalt to snow plow and maintain as well as 57 acres of buildings. An essential factor in the efficient operation of a school district is a well-organized, responsive building operations and maintenance department.

• Custodial Services - Our custodial team is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all school facilities. They work diligently to ensure that our schools are safe and healthy learning environments for our students and staff.
• Maintenance Services - Our maintenance team handles a wide range of tasks, from routine repairs to major renovations. They are responsible for the upkeep of all school facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC.
• Grounds-keeping Services - Our grounds-keeping team is responsible for maintaining the outdoor areas of our school facilities. They work hard to ensure that the grounds are well-maintained and provide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors.
