Nutrition Services
Welcome to Valley View School District Nutrition Services!
Every school day, our team of more than 140 dedicated Nutrition Services professionals proudly prepares fresh, nutritious breakfasts and lunches for approximately 14,500 students across all 21 Valley View schools. We are committed to providing high-quality meals that nourish students, support learning, and create a positive dining experience for every learner.
As a nonprofit, self-supported foodservice program, VVSD’s Nutrition Services is funded primarily through meal reimbursements from the federal government. Our programs operate in accordance with the National School Lunch Act and Child Nutrition Act and follow all regulations established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). These standards help ensure that every meal served is nutritious, safe, and meets the highest level of program accountability.
The USDA is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
VVSD is excited to announce that during the 26-27 School Year, we will provide 1 free breakfast and 1 free lunch* for Every Learner in grades pre-K through 12th grade!
