    Remote Learning Option - Communication from Superintendent Rachel Kinder

    An overview of the fall reopening plan, Return Together 365, was presented to the Board of Education on Monday, July 20. Learning options for each grade level for the 2020-21 school year and updates on the planning effort was included in this presentation.     We will be hosting a Return Together 365 Zoom Webinar for parents and guardians on Thursday, July 23 from 6-7 p.m.  The purpose of the webinar is to review options for fall learning, answer common questions, and provide details on making a selection in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. We will also post a video of the webinar to the District website after the meeting and provide an updated FAQ document online.

    Here is what you need to know: 

    • Information on learning options for Fall will be posted online tomorrow evening, Wednesday, July 22. Link will be emailed and posted on social media. 
    • Parents will have the option to select their preference for first semester attendance“hybrid” or “remote only” in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. 
    • The deadline to make the remote only selection is Tuesday, July 28.

    In consideration of the need for planning by all VVSD families and staff, the VVSD Board of Education is allowing us to move forward with collection of family preferences for the fall in order to further refine the plan and solidify logistical considerations. The Board will consider formal approval of the plan at a special meeting on Thursday, August 6th. 

    As we are now accustomed to during this unique situation, information develops, evolves, and sometimes changes.  We will continue to share information with you as it becomes available. The health and safety of our students, staff, and families remains our priority as we seek to best meet the needs of our learners. I am sincerely grateful for your patience and ongoing partnership as we work together to make the best of these very difficult circumstances for our children. 

    Where do I get my transcripts?

    If you are a recent graduate (within the last 5 years) or a current student, you will need to request your transcripts through Parchment.  Please go to www.parchment.com, create an account, and look for BHS.  

    If you graduated or attended BHS more than 5 years ago, you will need to request transcripts through the Enrollment Office.  Please click the link below to view and print the Transcript Request form:  Transcript Request Form.

     

    How do I report attendance?

    To report an absence, please call the attendance office. 

    For Students A - K, call (630) 679 - 3414.  

    For Students L - Z, call (630) 679 - 3598.
