My name is Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson-McTurner, but the students here know me as Mrs. McTurner. I am a Kindergarten Teacher at Beverly Skoff Elementary School. In addition to teaching kindergarten, I have also had experiences teaching preK-age 21 in both general education and special education. I have also been a content specific teacher for literacy working with primary students and their classroom teachers. I love helping students to acheive their full potential in all academic areas. This helps to build the foundation for a successful future for each child. I teach specific skills and strategies to help students meet and exceed their goals. Eventually the students begin identifying their own learning goals and are self motivated to achieve them. While this takes quite a bit of time, it is my ultimate goal to help create self-motivated learners who love to read and enjoy school within every student whom I come in contact.
