ESL Teacher 

My name is Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson-McTurner, but the students here know me as Ms. Anderson I am an English as a Second Language Teacher at Pioneer and Jonas Salk Elementary School. In addition to teaching ESL, I have also had experiences teaching preK-age 21 in both general education and special education. I have also been a content specific teacher for literacy working with primary students and their classroom teachers. I love helping students to acheive their full potential in all academic areas. This helps to build the foundation for a successful future for each child. I teach specific skills and strategies to help students meet and exceed their goals. Eventually the students begin identifying their own learning goals and are self motivated to achieve them. It is my ultimate goal to help create self-motivated learners who love to read and enjoy school within every student whom I come in contact.
