I am the proud mom of four beautiful successful children. I received a BS in Healthcare Administration from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. I worked in the Healthcare Administration field for 15 years as an Analyst and Account Manager for a hospital, consulting firm and two insurance companies prior to becoming an educator. I also served in the U.S. Army for 11 years. Through the SIU college ROTC program I recieved an Officer's Commision in the Adjutant Generals Core. I've traveled abroad to South Korea, Paris and Germany, and all over the great United States. 

After obtaining a M.S. Ed. from Lewis University, I made a career change into education.  I hold a Type 75 and most recently, I received the Director of Special Education License.  I am also the sponsor of Really Intelligent Girls Hang Together (R.I.G.H.T) which is a girls club at BHS. Our mission is to encourage girls to have a healthy self-esteem, leadership, promote academic excellence and to instill a strong sense of community by giving back. I have worked at BHS for 15 years as a Teacher. I truly have a passion for working with various learners to equip them with the skills to be successful, and to achieve their goals.
