Mr. Brian Bove
Welcome to the about me section! My name is Brian Bove and I have been at BHS since the new building opened in 2004. I am currently in my 10th year as department chair of Bilingual/ESL and 13th at the school. Prior BHS I taught in Chicago and District 211. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in secondary education/History in 2001 and went on to pursue a masters in curriculum and instruction specializing in ESL in 2005 from National Louis University and then a masters in Educational Leadership in 2007 from Aurora University. I started to sub in district 211 in ESL classrooms and that led me to my job at BHS teaching ESL. I truly believe that ESL students are the best in the school because they represent all two things I believe that makes this country great...diversity and opportunity.
I have been married to a wonderful woman for 12 years named Jen who I met attending Eastern Illinois University and she is currently teaching kindergarten at Irene King Elementary in Romeoville. She has been there since 2004. We have three beautiful children together Tommy (8), Danny (6) and Susie (2). We live in Naperville and love going to the pool over the summer and just being together as a family. We especially enjoy going to Mexico and we will be going back there in 2018 to stay for a week in Puerto Morelos. Personally, I enjoy all sports but still play soccer, basketball and softball when not chasing around my three children. I follow the Bears, Blackhawks and Arsenal.
I believe that all children can learn when given the opportunity and support needed to be ensure success.
