Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jean Bruno

Welcome to Beverly Skoff Elementary School! My name is Jean Bruno and this is my thirteenth year as an Assistant Principal in the Valley View School District. I spent the last five years as the Assistant Principal at Beverly Skoff Elementary School. Prior to that, I was the Assistant Principal at Jonas Salk  Elementary School in Bolingbrook.  I am very excited about the upcoming school year at Skoff and I feel so fortunate to be a part of this wonderful school environment!

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2001 from Northern Illinois University.  I had the pleasure of student teaching at Irene King Elementary School in 2001. In January of 2002, I began teaching 4th grade at what used to be Valley View Elementary School, in Romeoville. From there, I taught four years of 6th grade Language Arts and Math at Humphrey Middle School. During that time, I earned my first Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University. I spent the next two years teaching 6th grade Language Arts at Lukancic Middle School and served as an Athletic Director there as well. In May 2008, I received my second Master’s degree in Administration and Leadership from Benedictine University.

It is an honor to be a part of the Skoff family! I am so thankful for all the support I have received from the staff, students, and parents of Beverly Skoff Elementary School. I look forward to meeting more of you and working with you in the future. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments or concerns you may have at (815) 886-8384 or at
