Miss Heather Colombatto
Hi! I absolutely love teaching here and couldn't imagine having any other career. I also love the subject I teach and it's so much fun for me to work on not only the art projects my students create, but personal work as well. My family was not surprised when I told them I wanted to be a teacher. I knew I wanted to teach when I was in graduate school and had the luck to win a teaching assistantship. I taught the lab (artmaking) section of Intro to Art at Eastern Illinois University and I fell in love with teaching. I have worked at Bolingbrook High School since the 2002-03 school year and I have been Fine Arts Department Chairperson since the 2006-07 school year.
Outside of BHS, I love to hang out with my family, including my fur kid, Chesney. I love walking him around and taking him for car rides. I also love to run on my treadmill. I've ran in a few half marathons and many more 5ks.
