Mrs. Dameshia R. Donald

Welcome to English 10 & African American Literature!!!

Hello! My name is Dameshia Donald.  This is my 12th year in education, and I am so excited to be your English teacher this year.

My teaching career began at my alma mater, Bassfield High School, located in Bassfield, Mississippi.  In 2014, Bolingbrook High became my new home, and I thoroughly enjoy being a Raider!

Throughout my career, I have enjoyed working with middle school and high school students.  I am available to work with you before and after school in B159. Also, feel free to contact me via email at

In the meantime, enjoy a few of my favorite quotes:

“Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education.” - MLK

“Those that don't got it, can't show it. Those that got it, can't hide it.” ― Zora Neale Hurston

“The more that you read, the more things you will know, the more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” - Dr. Seuss

“If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.” - Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Estrada

"Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough." - Oprah
