Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Graff

Hello! My name is Mrs. Graff and I teach 7th grade language arts in a co-taught room.

I received my special education teaching certificate from Elmhurst College in January of 2013 and have my Bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University. This is my fourth year teaching at Brooks Middle School, but since I student taught and was a long term substitue here at Brooks, I feel like I've been part of the Brooks' family for a lot longer. Before receiving my teaching certificate, I was a special education teaching assistant for eight years in a variety of diverse classrooms. I have always loved working with children in an educational setting and still look forward to coming to work every day.

I have a lot of love for Brooks, so it's very fitting that I am the 7th Grade Spirit Club Chair. I am also a Google Gooru and enjoy working with and supporting staff and students using the many google apps and extensions our district offers.

My interests outside of school include playing with my Doberman Pinscher Jade, reading young adult literature, cheering for the Chicago Bulls, and watching the 2016 World Series Champions, the Chicago Cubs. I got married this past summer, so if your child has an older sibling, they might have had me and may remember me as Miss Riordan. I love seeing old students so please tell them they're always welcome to come visit me in room A33.
