Mrs. Paula Hallahan (nee Wegner, Jensen)

Welcome to my pages!

I was raised in Bolingbrook IL.  I attended Brookview Elementary School (Tibbott), one year at Westview Middle School (AVM), while BJ Ward was being built.  I graduated from the old Bolingbrook High school.  I earned my B.A. in Psychology (minor in Speech Communications) from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg MO.  I earned my Masters in School Psychology from Governors State University in Richton Park IL.  I also have over 50 additional graduate credits in Family Systems and Counseling.

I have experience in the following areas;  Early Childhood, Low Incidence Education, Challenge Education, Autism, Behavioral Interventions, Academic Interventions, Response to Intervention, Psychological Assessment and Academic Assessment.  I have been a school psychologist for 17 years and have worked in the Valley View School District the whole time. I have worked at Tibbott, Jonas Salk, Irene King, and R. C. Hill before settling at Hermansen about 13 years ago.  I love working with kids, and want them to be happy, secure, and successful.

I married Robert Hallahan in August 2009, and live in the Chicago area. My son Tyler is a 2009 graduate of Romeoville High School and a 2015 graduate of Webster University (St. Louis MO).  He has recently graduated in May 2017 with a Masters in College Level Student Affairs and Housing and lives in St. Louis Missouri with his lovely wife Brooke.  I have a Ragdoll cat named Hawkeye.  I enjoy reading, watching movies, being outside, and genealogy.
