Mr. Miguel Hernandez

Family is always first...  As a father of four, my journey as a parent and teacher, began at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  There, I met my wife, Ana Santana (a teacher as well at Bolingbrook High School).  Together, working to support our child and going to school, we both decided that teaching was our calling.  After graduation, we moved to Fort Worth, Texas and taught at Ploytechnic High School, a low poverty school with many needs. After four wonderful years at Poly, we decided to come back home (Illinois), and taught at Morton East High School for two years until we volunteered to move to the newly constructed, Morton Freshman Center in Cicero, IL.  After a couple of amazing years teaching at the freshman center, we felt it was time to move closer to our home, as our family was growing and we needed to be a bigger part of our kids' lives; therefore, we were lucky enough to find Mrs. Pritchard, a wonderful woman and educator who gave us our opportunity to work closer to our home...Bolingbrook High School.
