Mrs. Jane E. Jones

Hi! My name is Jane Jones, and I am one of the Science teachers at Bolingbrook High School. I currently teach Anatomy & Physiology and Earth & Space, but I have also taught Biology and Freshman Lab Science in the past. I have my B.S. in Ecology/Ethology/Evolution and my M.S. in Biology from the University of Illinois. After working for about 20 years in water testing laboratories I went back to school and received my M.Ed. from University of St. Francis. I really wanted to be part of something more challenging and important, and I LOVE to talk about science. I've been at Bolingbrook High School ever since.

In my spare time I like to garden with native plants, quilt, and storm chase. Yep - when most people are taking cover I am heading out to report severe weather as a volunteer storm spotter. My family also hosts foreign exchange students, and so far we have hosted teenagers from Norway, Japan, Italy, and Germany. We enjoy sharing our culture and learning about others, and we have made friends both here in the US and abroad through the program. One of the things I like best about teaching at Bolingbrook is interacting with students of many different cultures and backgrounds. I think that makes all of us more understanding and accepting of differences, but I think, too, that we find common ground as well.

I enjoy getting to know my students and look forward to meeting you!
