Mrs. Mallory Kaster
My name is Mallory Kaster and I am the First Grade Special Education teacher at B.J. Ward Elementary. I joined the B.J. Ward family in 2006 and spent the following 11 years part of the Second Grade Team. Though I fell in love with Second Grade, I decided to start a new journey in special education and First Grade. This will be my third year co-teaching with Mrs. Peterson and we look foward to another memoriable year.
I am strong believer in life-long learning and hope to instill this same passion in each of my students. In 2005, I graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education. I am an active alumni with the university and truly feel I have the orange and blue running through my blood! In 2011, I graduated from Dominican University with a Masters of Arts in Special Education / LBS1. Through my experiences in special education, I found where my heart belonged in the field of education.
I spent most of my life growing up in Naperville, Illinois and have remained in the area since. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and cruising through the Caribbean islands. Sand, flip flops, and sunshine are my medicine in life.
