• Communications Department

The Communications Department works closely with administration, staff, and schools to inform the public and employees about what is happening within the district. The department handles all media requests, publishes district and school publications, takes photos, creates all district videos, and maintains the district website and social media presence.

VVSD strives to create and maintain open, two-way communications both internally and externally to foster collaboration, trust, and understanding in an effort to move all stakeholders to advocacy of student success.

As part of this effort, the district engages in methods to more effectively communicate with our students, parents, staff, and community. We actively utilize social media, and send out regular email newsletters to keep you informed about what is taking place across the district.

Valley View School District's website is the primary source of information about the district. Parents, students, staff and community members can find the most up-to-date information, news stories, calendar events, resources and contact information.

Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are the social media platforms currently used by Valley View School District to post engaging, news-worthy stories about our students, staff, families and community members. VVSD will also post all emergency notifications on social media platforms.

Video plays an important role in a district's communication strategy. Valley View School District currently records and publishes all school board meetings on YouTube. Throughout the school year, other promotional videos will be published to highlight student and staff achievements.
