I have been teaching at Irene King for the past 12 years.  I began as a supported education teacher working with both 3rd and 4th grade, and for the past 8 years I have been co-teaching 4th grade with Mrs. Allen.  In 2002 I graduated from the University of Illiinois with a Bachelor's degree in Education and in 2006 I graduated from National Louis University with a Master's degree in Special Education.  I have 2 girls of my own, Madelyn (4) and Ella (1), and Mr. Matson is an Aurora firefighter.  When I'm not teaching I love playing with my kids, reading, shopping (I love Target), and exercising.  I also love reading to my students, drinking coffee, and cooking or baking.  I am looking forward to meeint all of you and to a successful and productive 2017-2018 school year!
