Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Veronica Nerone and I am the 7th grade honors language arts teacher. This is my fourth year teaching at Humphrey, and I absolutely love working with the staff and students here. We truly have a great school and community! I have lived in Bolingbrook my whole life, and attended schools in the Valley View School District K-12; RHS class of 2002! I attended Western Illinois University, and majored in Kinesiology (fancy for Phys. Ed.) with a minor in health, and a language arts endorsement. I taught elementary PE and then moved up to the middle school to teach ELA, and I absolutely love it here! I am currently working on completing my Teaching and Learning Masters Degree through the University of St. Francis, and hope to be finished by the summer of 2018.
Here at Humphrey I coach Scholastic Bowl, am a Family Group Leader for our Safe School Ambassador program, am the 7th grade representative, and have led the 8th grade ELA TNT after school program. This year I also joined the ELA Curriculum Committee to assist with the development of our district wide common assessments. I look forward to more opportunities to be inovlved with you at Humphrey!
