Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Bill Normand

This is my third year of being the Assistant Principal of A. Vito Martinez Middle School, and I am very proud to be part of an outstanding learning community.  Being a product of the Valley View School System(Romeoville High School Graduate '97), it is an honor to give back to the community that has given me so much.

After graduating from RHS in 1997, I attended Millikin University and earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Physical Education. I started my Valley View teaching career in 2003 at Romeoville High School having served as a Physical Education, Driver Education, and Health Instructor.  In 2012, I became a Dean of Students at Romeoville High School and served in that role until I was named Assistant Principal at Martinez in 2014.  During my time at Romeoville High School, I coached wrestling, golf, baseball, and football.  I also was the sophomore class sponsor and the coordinator for SADD and the teen safe driving program.

Presently, I live in Lockport with my wife and our 3 children.  We enjoy spending time together swimming in our pool, watching and playing sports, listening to and playing music, and traveling.

I look forward to continuing to serve and support students and families of our learning community to strive for excellence for many years to come.  I truly believe we are part of a great learning community, and together we can accomplish tremendous success.
