Degrees and Certifications:
Major in English from Carthage College Minor in Secondary Education Certified in English 9-12
Mr. Alec Palmer
I graduated from Carthage College in 2012 with a major in English and a minor in secondary education. After that, I began my teaching career in 2012 at a middle school in Kenosha, Wisconsin where I taught 8th grade science and summer school English. I then spent two years at Glenbard East High School as a teacher's aide and a long term substitute in a variety of different English classes. During those two years I had experience teaching numerous honors and AP courses. During that time I also coached volleyball at the freshman level.
I was hired at Romeoville High School in the spring of 2016 and spent my first year teaching AP Language and Composition and College Prep Reading for freshman. I am also the current varsity assistant coach for the boy's volleyball program. My goal is to make every one of my students college and career ready by the time they graduate.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing music, and traveling as much as possible.
