Mrs. Trisha Ratazak-Brown

Greetings! My name is Trisha Ratazak-Brown. This is my frist year as an Intervention and Enrichment Coordinator at Jonas Salk. I was previously a Teaching and Learning Coach at KLH in Romeoville. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University in 2002. I graduated with my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through the University of St. Francis in 2018. I am also have endorsements for teaching middle school language arts and English as a Second Language. 

This year will be my 19th year of teaching! I started my career as a middle school cross categorical assitant for autism in Braidwood, IL. From there I moved to Northern Virginia and took a job teaching 5th grade at Cedar Point Elementary School in Prince William County. I stayed in Prince William County Schools for 7 years, and during that time taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades. In 2011, I moved back to Illinois where I began my time as a 5th grade teacher at Independence Elementary School. I have 2 children, a 7 year old son and a 2 year old daughter.
