Hi and welcome to Jamie McGee Elementary School!

I have been the School Social Worker at Jamie McGee for 13 years.  I love working with children and helping to believe in themselves and to help them realize their true potential.  I use Social Thinking to help students learn how to be better social thinkers.  Another curriculum I use is the ZONES of regulation so students can learn how to manage and express their emotions.  I graduated fron National-Louis University with Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Human Services - Addictions.  While working on my Master's Degree, I worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in the psychiatric hospital and at Community Family Services as a Wraparound Facilitator.  I earned my Master's Degree from Aurora University in Social Work. 

I love the beach, auto racing, kitties and reading.  In fact, I have an extensive collection of 1400 books!! I wish I could say I have read most of them, but that is far from the truth.  All of y books are organized by genre and alphatebetically by author!  I have a passion for learning and sharing about holistic and natural lifestyle choices.
